ATMs do not accept stablecoins directly. To turn USDT or USDC into cash, you load the stablecoins onto a card that supports ATM withdrawals and then withdraw local currency like with any other debit card.

With Agora, that card is Physical Card Plus. The virtual cards cannot be used at ATMs.

Step 1: Get a card that supports ATMs

Physical Card Plus costs $550 and is shipped with 48–72 hour priority delivery through EU and US warehouses; actual arrival depends on destination and courier conditions. Order well before a trip rather than counting on the fastest delivery.

Check availability first. Physical Card Plus is not available in Morocco, the United States, Bangladesh, India or Turkey, and no card can be used in the unsupported regions.

Step 2: Top up with USDT or USDC

Send USDT or USDC from a compatible wallet on a supported network, as shown in the card application. Always copy the deposit address from the app, check the network twice and consider a small test transfer first; tokens sent on the wrong network may not be recoverable.

Reloads are usually spendable within minutes. The top-up fee on Physical Card Plus is 2.5%, and the sending wallet or exchange may charge its own network fee. Our USDT vs USDC guide explains how the two tokens differ.

Step 3: Withdraw at the ATM

Insert the card, enter your PIN and choose a withdrawal amount in local currency. A few practical tips:

  • Decline dynamic currency conversion. If the ATM offers to charge you in USD instead of local currency, decline. The card already converts automatically, and ATM conversion rates are often worse.
  • Prefer bank-operated ATMs in well-lit places. Standalone machines in tourist areas often charge higher operator fees.
  • Check the operator fee on screen before you confirm. It is set by the ATM owner and charged separately from Agora’s fees.
  • Mind local withdrawal caps. Many ATMs limit each withdrawal to a smaller amount than your card limit.

Limits

Physical Card Plus allows ATM withdrawals of up to $3,000 per day and $80,000 per month. These are separate from the card’s spending limits of $900,000 per day and $60,000 per transaction.

What it costs

Agora charges 2% on ATM withdrawals. When the cash is in a currency other than USD, the 1.5% FX fee applies as well. The ATM operator may add its own fee.

Example: withdrawing the local-currency equivalent of $500 abroad costs $10 in ATM fees plus $7.50 in FX fees, before any operator surcharge, on top of the 2.5% fee paid when the funds were loaded. The pricing table lists the current figures; see our fee guide for more examples.

Safety and privacy

  • Load only the cash you expect to need. Funds on the card are held by Agora’s licensed and regulated custodian partners, not in your own wallet.
  • Shield the keypad when entering your PIN and check the card slot for anything unusual.
  • Keep the support contacts saved so you can reach a human quickly if a withdrawal is declined.

Withdrawals are also subject to the card’s prohibited uses and local law. Used sensibly, a crypto card with ATM access is a straightforward way to carry stablecoin value abroad without carrying large amounts of cash.
